My partner and I had only a week to find a suitable apartment due to work transfers.

We were both living in Puxi (Xujiahui) and with the assistance and professionalism from Newport they found us a lovely apartment in a great area that was close to my partners work, transportation, amenities were all in close proximity also.

Newport arranged the Removals, Transportation, Negotiations and even every small detail that we required for the apartment.  Their Customer Service - before/after is great.  Quick response and attentive.

My little family of three moved to Shanghai four months ago.  We were desperate to find something quickly so had various agencies on the go.  Newport Real Estate actually took our needs into account and we went with the fist property they showed us, a beautiful duplex in a peaceful part of the French Concession.

Our compound, Xing Guo Garden, is made up of various low rise buildings, each housing a maximum of six families.  The construction is new but the architecture is classic and elegant.  Beautiful buildings with modern facilities, the best of both worlds!

The grounds and garden are impeccably kept and the guard men at the door provide an irreproachable service; I am simply not allowed to go and get myself a taxi in the rain, they will keep me indoors and bring the "chu zu che" to my door.

After 24 glorious years of living in Singapore I had to pack up and move to China where I knew I would have trouble communicating.  Singapore was so easy as everyone speaks English and furthermore I was so much younger when I moved there and my sense of adventure led me.  Now I am older and think more of comfort than adventure.  I was lucky enough to come across NewPort Real Estate on the Internet.  Alex Chua and his team made all the difference in the world.  We could communicate with ease and they knew what was important to me.  Talk about hand-holding, these people practically picked me up and carried me.  From pick-ups at the airport, to storage and deliveries pre-moving in, NewPort was at my side.  No one expects a real estate agent to do all that.  And that wasn’t all!  They helped me find a wonderful helper who is also my interpreter and life went from trials and tribulations to smooth sailing.  All this was done simply as their normal service with no charge at all.  They helped me with whatever came up in my moving in.  And once I saw Shanghai Garden Plaza my fears of living in a polluted hectic city were laid to rest.  Can you imagine that Alex even came to my apartment in Singapore and helped carry some items to Shanghai that we could not. 
I appreciate the help that Alex, Andy, Cindy, Martin and the rest of the team at Newport gave me.  It was more like a friendship than a business relationship.
My husband was so pleased that he is using NewPort for all of his staff that will move to Shanghai.

Making the decision to move to Shanghai was not an easy one.  My wife had never been to Shanghai before and it was important to me for her to feel comfortable during our visit.  Alex made us feel right at home during our City Orientation.  He understands what it's like to be an expat and thus can relate more to our questions and concerns.  Alex's knowledge of the local market and the living conditions in Shanghai coupled with his understanding of the issues we face as expats, was a major factor in helping my wife and I understand what it would be like to live in Shanghai.  Alex understands the importance of building long term relationships and this is evident in the way he works with people.

I was impressed with Newport’s prompt and efficient recovery action to my problem of not having hot water in my bathroom, my leaking pipe and defective washing machine (all water related!).  They were persistent in dealing with the contractors and ensured a satisfactory outcome.  Cindy deserves special mention for her attention to professionalism.
